Before I say what I am going to say,I want to mention that what I hate about America does not deteriorate from my love for my country. I just realize it has problems. What I hate most is that fighting seems to be the answer to everything. When one man hates what another man says it seems like it always ends up that one will try to fight with the other. Men, meaning mankind, not just the male. I feel that his is a reflection on the world as a whole not a thing specific to the United States. I also hate that we are a superpower at war. I wish we were a few steps below from being the most powerful country in the world. Second or third most powerful would be okay. This is because we are in the light too much. There is much pressure on our country to act or not to act. I also hate the war part because war is only violence that tries to solve violence. As we say in America, you can't fight fire with fire.
I love my country, but realize that there are problems here. I hate that fighting seems to be the answer to solving problems. However, this is not a specific characteristic of the United States, but a reflection on the attitudes of the world. I also dislike that we are a superpower. I wish we were second most powerful or third most powerful, but not the most powerful. There is a lot of pressure on our country to act or not to act and it seems if we make the wrong choice, the whole world is mad at us. Many of the problems in the world are not the fault of the United States, but the fault of people in general, such as in poverty because wealth isn't well distributed (here environment plays a role also) . The United States is the playground for world attitudes, not the creator of these attitudes.
As an American, I hate how fighting seems to solve anything. This, however, is not a characteristic of the United States, but a reflection on the whole world. I also hate that we are the superpower. I wish we were the second of third most powerful. This is because there is much pressure placed on us to be perfect. We have to help or stay out of it. If we do the wrong thing, everyone is mad at us and saying we are ignorant. We aren't we are just in a tough position. I also hate that America is a melting pot and not a salad bowl. What I mean by salad bowl is that is should be a mix of cultures but instead, cultures seem to blend into one culture (the melting pot). I do love my country though and things I have listed above are only things that that I dislike not reasons why I should hate it as a whole. I love the US
Personally, I hate how America is labeled the “super power” country. I hate how Americans are also considered to be dominating personalities. I know that these things may be true for some, but not all. But it’s a means for life in America at times. If you have to get something done being passive will not always get the job done. Being at the top or number one is what Americans strive for.
Materialism!
ReplyDeleteI think that Americans spend too much time either shopping or working so that they can shop some more.
