I think many people have wrong perceptions about Muslims and Islamic countries based on limited information from media. Sadly, many people tend to believe what they see on movies and TV shows which are not fair and accurate many times. I wouldn't think media intentionally try to twist Muslim images but they are insensitive showing images of Muslims on movies without considering the accuracy.
Unfortunately, the depiction is unfair. Ft. Hood and the Christmas Bomber represent Muslim-Americans to us.
